Francuzi zaczynają doceniać Polaków.

Założone w 1915 roku Towarzystwo Akademickie Arts-Sciences-Lettres działa pod patronatem prezydenta Republiki oraz Académie Française. Co roku Towarzystwo, przyznając nagrody, wyróżnia osoby wybitnie zasłużone na polach sztuki, nauki oraz literatury. Wśród laureatów tej prestiżowej nagrody są m.in. Louis Lumière, Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, Sacha Guitry, Yehudi Menuhin, Olivier Messiaen czy Simone Veil.

Do niedawna Towarzystwo nagradzało tylko Polaków związanych w jakiś sposób z Francją, takich jak Elżbieta Czerczuk, która prowadzi swój teatr w Paryżu. To się zmieniło w ub. roku, gdy złotymi medalami zostali wyróżnieni po raz pierwszy niezwiązani z Francją polscy artyści: wybitny malarz prof. Stefan Gierowski (zmarł w tym roku) oraz Leszek Sokół. Srebrny pozłacany medal otrzymał Jan Dobkowski. W roku 2022 złoty medal otrzymała malarka Agnieszka Nowińska, pozłacany Wojciech Kowalczyk, srebrny Jerzy Plucha i Karolina Jaklewicz, a cynowy Jerzy Ruszczyński.

The French are starting to appreciate Poles

Founded in 1915, the Arts-Sciences-Lettres Academic Society operates under the patronage of the President of the Republic and the Académie Française. Every year, the Society, by awarding prizes, honors persons of outstanding merit in the fields of art, science and literature. The winners of this prestigious award include: Louis Lumière, Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, Sacha Guitry, Yehudi Menuhin, Olivier Messiaen and Simone Veil.

Until recently, the Society awarded only Poles connected in some way with France, such as Elżbieta Czerczuk, who runs her theater in Paris. This changed last year, when gold medals were awarded for the first time to Polish artists not related to France: the outstanding painter prof. Stefan Gierowski (died this year) and Leszek Sokół. The gold-plated silver medal was awarded to Jan Dobkowski. In 2022, the gold medal was awarded to the painter Agnieszka Nowińska, the gold medal to Wojciech Kowalczyk, the silver medal to Jerzy Plucha and Karolina Jaklewicz, and the pewter medal to Jerzy Ruszczyński.

Les Français commencent à apprécier les Polonais

Fondée en 1915, la Société académique Arts-Sciences-Lettres est placée sous le haut patronage du Président de la République et de l'Académie française. Chaque année, la Société, par l'attribution de prix, honore des personnalités méritantes dans les domaines de l'art, de la science et de la littérature. Les lauréats de ce prix prestigieux sont : Louis Lumière, Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, Sacha Guitry, Yehudi Menuhin, Olivier Messiaen et Simone Veil.

Jusqu'à récemment, la Société ne récompensait que les Polonais liés d'une manière ou d'une autre à la France, comme Elżbieta Czerczuk, qui dirige son théâtre à Paris. Cela a changé l'année dernière, lorsque des médailles d'or ont été décernées pour la première fois à des artistes polonais non liés à la France : le peintre exceptionnel prof. Stefan Gierowski (décédé cette année) et Leszek Sokół. La médaille d'argent plaqué or a été décernée à Jan Dobkowski. En 2022, la médaille d'or a été décernée à la peintre Agnieszka Nowińska, la médaille d'or à Wojciech Kowalczyk, la médaille d'argent à Jerzy Plucha et Karolina Jaklewicz et la médaille d'étain à Jerzy Ruszczyński.
